The treatment was the very best you can get thanks to the nhs .I dont see how you can improve it thanks to all the staff king george hospital.
I brought my 92 year old father in for some treatment to a very bad graize on his left knee, which looked to be infected. We booked in very quickly, and within five minutes, we were called to have his observations carried out. This was carried out by an excellent male nurse called JP Houngavou. He treated my father with utmost respect and went out of his way to make sure my father was comfortable, also helping him in and out of the chair. He also shared some personal experience with his own father, which helped my father to feel at ease. Once the observations were completed instead of making my father walk back to the waiting chairs, he allowed him to sit where he was.
When my father was called for his treatment, JP again helped my him up and walked with him to the treatment room.
My father was then treated by an excellent nurse practice called Karen, who again treated him with respect and dignity.
We came back to the hospital two days later for redressing and were again met by the same male nurse JP. He again treated my father exactly the same as the previous occasion. Once again in the treatment room my father was treated very well and everything was explained to him clearly.
On the whole we had a very pleasant experience and could not fault the way my father was treated.
The whole time I was in the Clover Ward, I was treated with kindness, respect and empathy. The specialist who looked after me: SHEEBA CYRIAC, was the consummate professional. She could sense my nervousness and ensured that I understood exactly what procedure was to follow and how it would be conducted.
She was patient and answered my many questions, often more than once and I felt reassured and relaxed in her presence.
I hadn’t been to A&E for years but overall it was a truly positive experience. I was brought in by ambulance and checked out as a precaution. The A&E was really so quiet so I was seen immediately and everyone I dealt with was friendly, caring, thoughtful and supportive. I was given antibiotics for 7 days but I only received a 6 day supply which was the only thing I can find fault with.
Coz its true
I was looked after very well.
I was given a letter by my GP to go A&E to rule out stroke. The waiting was horrendous. Everyone was waiting around for an average of 12 hours. One parent was arguing with the staff, who were just ignoring her. I was there for 20 hours and still I had to wait for MRI. I told them, I will have that done as an outpatient appointment. I felt more sick, than when I went in.
Seen in good time
